Supported Learning

TESSA LD supports young people aged 12 to 18 with complex needs and their parents and teachers to have increased awareness of the dangers of the Internet, sexual bullying, violence and abuse in a sensitive way. They also support young people with complex needs who have experienced any form of sexual abuse to be able to speak up about it, develop coping strategies, feel less isolated and have a reduced chance of re-victimisation.
We offer 1-2-1 pupil led interactive workshops utilising visual, audio, arts and craft materials which are designed to help express feelings and emotions in a safe manner.

All our workshops are tailored to the individual young person and examples of resources and workshop topics are below. Using these resources helps TESSA workers understand what the young person is experiencing emotionally and gives the young person a simpler way to express this.
