Q. Is the Rape Crisis Centre only for girls who have just recently been raped?
A. NO.Any young girl who has experienced sexual abuse at any time in their life can access our service. This includes girls who have been sexually bullied. Initial support and information will be provided to young men who contact us. Thereafter, we will signpost them to the most appropriate agency where there needs can be met.
Q. I find it really difficult to speak to someone face to face. How can I get help?
A. You can contact us by telephone, e-mail or letter. You don't have to speak to someone face to face if you don't want to. You can change how you are supported at any time.
Q.I have been asked to do a lot of sexual things that make me feel really bad about myself. Is it right?
A. NO, Anything you have been asked to do that you are unhappy or uncomfortable with is wrong. Talk to a Rape Crisis Support worker about it.
